Anne Frank was a teenage girl who went through the dangers of the holocaust and died. While doing that she documented her thoughts in a diary that eventually got published. Her family consists of Margot Frank, Anne’s older sister, Otto Frank, her dad and also a WWI veteran, and Edith Frank, Anne’s mother. At The time of birth to 1942 she lived in Germany and was very well educated at the time.
In 1942 Anne’s family learned of the Holocaust and went into hiding in Otto Frank’s work attic. He had to keep it a secret from the people who worked downstairs. When the Holocaust began in 1938 many jews were killed in camps around Germany and Poland. They had to go through a lot of new changes in the first few months of hiding. It probably was very scary because it was a new change to them.
It’s now 1943, Anne and her family have been in hiding for a year and haven’t stepped outside to smell the fresh air for a while. A new family came in this year and she started to like the boy, Peter. They all had to be quiet for a very long time to not get found and this was very hard on Anne especially because tension was arriving with her and her mother. Her and Peter started dating and Anne still wrote all of her thoughts in her diary, not knowing what would come next year.
In August of 1944 Anne’s family was ratted out and she was found. They were given 5 minutes to pack belonging because Otto Frank was a WWI general for the German Army. They were sent to Auschwitz, the concentration camp in Poland. The first to die was the Mother. Anne and the rest of her family excluding her Mother was sent to a new camp and they all did there. Anne and Margot died of a disease and later Otto Frank escaped.
In conclusion Anne’s life was very well documented in her diary and she got her dying wish and that was to become a published author. Otto Frank published it for her and now is one of the best selling books. She went through a lot being a Jew of German descent. And she died a cruel way that no one should ever live through.
